You can imbue, embed, or infuse your gear. Imbuing your gear typically increases its main statistics, such as Strength and Intellect for weapons. Embedding your gear allows you to add power-ups that will enhance your gear's statistics, such as Intellect. At higher levels, you can even infuse your gear using advanced items to make it even stronger.

To imbue, embed, or infuse your gear, talk to Qioz - the Blacksmith in Pokari and choose either "Embed/Imbue/Infuse Gear" or "Gems Embed/Imbue/Infuse." The first option uses gold, and the second option uses Gems.

Once you select one of the options, you can begin to imbue or embed your gear. Place your gear in the "Gear" box and an Etherelic in the "Relic/Gem" spot. Different gear levels require different types of relics/gems.

Basic Imbuing Guide

Both weapons and gear can be imbued. As a result, it will increase the statistics to which they are related (imbuing grants these benefits).

Typically, weapons are imbued to increase Strength and Intellect. (When it mentions "mana" instead of Intellect, it still raises Intellect.)

Gear is divided into two categories:

1. Imbued to increase Defense and Resistance;
2. Imbued to increase Health.

By checking the definition of the armor gear part, you will be informed about how the imbue will affect it.

(Exceptions: Sealed Destiny gear. You can preview the effect by using the preview button in your bag and checking the definition of the unsealed gear.)

Ethrelics are the items needed to imbue your equipment.

Imbuing your gear is not guaranteed. If it fails, your gear will decrease in level. You can place an Auxiliary item in the "Aux." box to increase your chances of upgrading your gear. Auxiliary items can be obtained from the NPC Shop or from players who may be selling them.

You can embed Jades into your gear to add stats such as Intellect, Strength, Defense, or Resistance. Before embedding, your gear must have the appropriate number of empty sockets. You can socket your gear at Qioz using Hand Drills (obtained by killing monsters).

If the socketing fails, your gear will be destroyed. However, you can use an auxiliary material, obtained from the Heaven Repository or other players, to increase the chances of success. If you use the auxiliary material, your gear will not be destroyed if the socketing fails.

You can also refine the Jades you embed into your gear by combining them at the Ancestral Forge. Keep forging them until you have a Refined Jade!

Note: You can only place gems of the same TYPE and LEVEL in a single piece of equipment that has more than one embed.

Resonance is the result of an elemental bonus effect applied to your gear.

Critical Note: If resonance (imbuing elements) fails, your gear will be destroyed.

Please read carefully: To avoid destruction, make use of the Resonance Auxiliary features outlined below.

Resonance (imbuing elements) is performed at the Ancestral Forge.

It requires two elemental scrolls for each piece of gear.

Tip: Any elemental scroll can be crafted using 100 dust of the same element.

Note: To craft scrolls, you must have learned one of the CRAFTING vocations, and the dust must be stored in your BAG.

Note: It is usually beneficial to imbue your gear with your class's primary (or secondary) element, as this will grant you an affinity bonus from Resonance.

Resonance (imbuing elements) on any gear requires a specific level (number) of Imbuing before it can resonate.

The number of Imbuing charges required depends on the level of the gear piece.

In order to benefit from Resonance (imbuing elements), you must follow the rules below. If these conditions are not met, the resonance will not be activated.

1. The gear must consist of the same set of 3 pieces (head, body, and foot).
2. The gear pieces must be for the same gender.
3. The gear pieces must be of the same level.
4. The gear pieces must belong to the same class.
5. All 3 gear pieces must be imbued to provide the same type of bonus (e.g., health OR all 3 gears with defense/resistance).
6. The gear pieces must be resonated or paired with the same elements/elemental scrolls.

NOTE (for Destiny gear levels 75, 90, and 100):

Resonating gear will also reassign random stats, typically two (2) stats. However, it can result in one (1) or even none (0) depending on the outcome.

Imbue/Embed will not be affected by resonance (or unsealing). Once resonance succeeds, it will remain active.

Relationship Between Resonance and Destiny Gears x2 (Double) Bonus

For properly resonated Destiny gear: When all 3 pieces are equipped, the effective bonus (re-rollable attribute) stats will be:

This applies to each bonus stat affected by the roll & re-roll process.

Note: The roll & re-roll attributes are shown above as "Unknown Attributes" (highlighted in yellow in the preview window).

Use the appropriate level of Destiny Jade at the Ancestral Forge to reset the bonuses.

You can obtain Destiny Jade in various ways depending on the Type (Level) of the Jade:

Lvl 75 Destiny Jade can be obtained by using a Gem of Soul Return (using the Forge) on level 75 diplomatic gears (gives 1 Jade) or weapons (gives 2 Jades). This item is available from the Blacksmith.

Lvl 90 and 100 Destiny Jade can be obtained by combining 10 Destiny Jade Debris (using the Forge).

Note:
Debris Lvl 90 drops in the Pit of Champions Adventure and on the Ole map.
Debris Lvl 100 drops in the Pit of Champions Adventure and on the Lost World map.

IMPORTANT: You CANNOT change DEF to HP AFTER it has been exchanged for True Dragon Gear.

IMPORTANT 2: You MUST use a Blood Immersed Stone to convert (regular Def/Res) Dragon Slayer Gears to HP if you plan to create an HP-based D.L. build.

How to re-roll Dragon Slayer and True Dragon Gears/Weapons:

You can reset the bonuses by using the Jade of Dragon item at an Ancestral Forge.

Every piece of armor has it's own soul, or Ki. If you have armor that you don't need or can't use, you can keep the soul of the armor in a Soulstone. The Blacksmith will sell you Empty Soulstones. A preview menu will allow you to choose the armor and Soulstone you wish to use in the Soul Charge.

The Clan Director also accepts Soulstones in trade for assistance. He will allow you to upgrade your Clan Skills or Alliance for Soulstones.

Sometimes you might consider some bound items useless, but you can neither discard them nor sell them.

Don't worry, just visit the Master of Coalescence(455, 424) in Pokari City to get rid of them.

Select the Destroy Bound Item function, right-click on an unwanted item in your Bag, and confirm. Then the process of destroying will start.

In the 7-day duration, you can stop the destrution any time you want. Just visit the Master of Coalescence(455, 424), and he will help you out again.
