PvP System

An adventure without battles is not an adventure.
So it is expected that Ether Saga will
offer formidable battles to its adventurers!

Level Limit

In Ether Saga Online, you cannot engage in PvP (Player vs Player) until you reach level 45. You can participate in arranged duels by challenging other players, but you cannot be PK'ed (killed by another player).

Once you reach level 45, you can actively fight other players if you wish. If you prefer not to be attacked by other players, you can join a PvE realm.

Remember: if your character dies, you will lose 5% EXP and 5% Spirit, so proceed with caution!

Duel System

To duel someone in a safe area, right-click their character interface and select "Duel." The duel invitation will last 30 seconds before being automatically rejected.

When accepted, the match begins in 3 seconds. It is recommended to buff up before inviting someone to a duel.

Duels have a 5-minute time limit. Pets can be summoned and used in combat. If the time limit is reached or both players are defeated, a Draw is declared.

During the match, a player’s health must be reduced to 1 to be declared a winner. Health will not reach zero regardless of skills used. Summoned pets can also be killed by the player.

PK System
  • - PvP Settings

Click the PvP Settings button next to your character avatar to adjust settings.

  • Alliance: Prevent attacks on Alliance members.
  • Clan: Prevent attacks on Clan members.
  • White Name: Prevent attacks on white-named players.
  • Red/Orange Name: Prevent attacks on red- and orange-named players.
  • Unchecking any option allows you to attack the specified category.
  • - Note: You can also directly attack a player by holding the CTRL key.

    • - Name Colors

Name colors indicate a player's PvP status.

  • White Name: Players without PvP penalties such as Infamy. Killing white-named players increases your Infamy.
  • Red/Pink Name: You become this color after killing a white-named player, receiving Infamy based on their level. Killing Red/Pink players does not increase your Infamy. With enough PKs, your name progresses: Pink → Red → Dark Red.
  • Orange Name: After attacking a white-named player, your name turns orange. This fades if you stop attacking or leave. Continuing attacks prevents it from reverting to white. If an orange-named player is killed by a white-named player, the white player does not gain Infamy. Red-named players always gain Infamy when they kill others.
  • CAUTION 1: The lower your victim's level, the more Infamy you will receive.

CAUTION 2: Ordering your pet to attack another player gives you an orange name. If that player dies, your name becomes red.

    PvP Penalties
    • 1. Red/Pink-named players (PK) drop in-bag and equipped items upon death.
    • 2. Red/Pink-named players (PK) lose 5% EXP per death until reaching 0.
    • 3. Red/Pink-named players (PK) move slower if Infamy exceeds 5.
    • 4. Red/Pink-named players (PK) lose Mana faster in PvP when Infamy is above 5.
    • 5. Red/Pink-named players (PK) are attacked by town or city guards.
    • - Additional Details
    • 1. Generally, players do not lose EXP or Spirit when killed in PvP.
    • 2. Scapemonkies remove all penalties when your character dies.
    • 3. NPC functions remain fully available, even if PK'ed.
    • 4. Items dropped in PvP are not protected; anyone can pick them up.
    • 5. Scapemonkies can be stacked up to 99 per slot.
    • 6. White-named players have a 1% chance of dropping an item when PK'ed.
    • 7. Bound items cannot be dropped.
    • 8. Book of Redemption removes 10 Infamy points.
