Pet Types

Pets play a big role in your adventures in Ether Saga
Pets can be used to help you fight, defend
and even heal your character.

Different pets are useful for different roles. Each pet has a monster family and a pet attitude. The monster family can help you as different families are better against another. The pet attitude will also determine the best role for your pet.

Pet Battle Attitudes

  • Fierce: Fierce pets are melee experts. They prefer to fight up close and personal, using physical skills to defeat their foes. Fierce pets have high Health, Strength, and Defense. Fierce type pets can equip Elite type bells. Fierce pets usually come with a low Intellect growth. Fierce pets can be melded and their combat type can change to either one of the following: Fearless or Potent.

Fierce pets are usually the best to fuse with because of their high Health growth. Fierce pets usually have very high defense, so keeping them out in battle is not a problem, however you might have to watch their health.

  • Calm: Calm pets are attacker pets, using elemental spells and curses to damage and hinder their opponents. Calm pets have high a Intellect growth. Calm type pets can equip Carved type bells. Calm pets usually never come with a high Health or Strength growth. Calm pets can be melded and their combat type can change to either one of the following: Sensible or Wild.

Calm type pets are generally the best to have fight side by fight mainly because of their high intellect growth. Make sure you set your Calm pet on guard, otherwise it will be killed in combat due to its lack of defense and health.

  • Bright: Bright pets can protect their masters by healing them and providing buffs to reduce and nullify damage. Bright pets have a high defense and high resistance. Bright type types can be melded and their combat type can change to either one of the following: Pious or Passionate.

Bright pets can be support pets, they have useful skills such as heal, and skills that increase the target's Health, Mana, and certain affinities. Bright pets are not an advised attack pet. Bright pets usually come with slightly high Intellect growth and fairly low Health growth. Make sure to put your bright pets that are out in battle on guard, otherwise they will be killed due to their significantly low health.

  • Normal: Normal pets have no preference in battle. They can learn certain skills from all of the other attitudes, but they do not have any of their own. There is no advanced type of normal. Normal pets can wear fierce bells up until level 85, After that, they can not. Normal pets are usually pets that should be sacrificed in melding because they have no specific advantage or high growth in anything.

Normal pets are by far the weakest type. Normal pets are not advised to be used as fuse, attacker pets, or anything rather.

  • In a more advanced setting, different pets may be useful in more than just their basic roles. A Bright pet might be used for something other than healing, depending on the skills available.
